I'm Chef Miguel.

I've dedicated over a decade to refining the art of teppanyaki, bringing this technique to stages across different continents.

My purpose is to elevate teppanyaki into an experience of precision, presence and human connection — designed to endure over time.

From Colombia to Australia, my work is guided by a single promise: to recognise every ingredient and the journey behind it, and to transform each moment into a memorable experience.

We lock in your menu, dietary needs and the finer details, then secure the date with a deposit.

Chef arrives

Miguel turns up fully equipped, sets up in a 2.5 × 2 m space and gets the grill ready around your guests.

The show

A live teppanyaki performance, course by course — then he packs down and leaves the space clean.

What's included in a private teppanyaki show?
Each experience includes live cooking by Chef Miguel at your location, all tools and ingredients for the show, custom entertainment, and restaurant-quality Japanese cuisine — prepared fresh, right in front of your guests.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. Chef Miguel arrives fully equipped with his plancha grill, utensils, ingredients, and even a cleanup plan. All you need to provide is a flat space (indoor or outdoor) and access to power if needed.
How far in advance should I book?
It's best to book at least 2–3 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date — especially on weekends or during holiday periods.
What locations do you service?
Chef Miguel is based in South East Queensland and services the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and nearby regions. Travel fees may apply for areas outside the metro zone.
Can the menu be customised for dietary needs?
Absolutely. Chef Miguel can accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free, and other dietary requests. Just let us know during booking.
How much space is needed for the setup?
A minimum of 2.5 × 2 metres of clear space is ideal for setup and performance, along with seating for your guests around the grill.
Do I need to provide tables or chairs?
You provide the dining space and seating — Chef Miguel brings the experience and equipment. If you need help sourcing furniture for larger events, just ask during the quote process.
Is this experience suitable for kids or families?
Yes! Teppanyaki is fun for all ages. Chef Miguel adapts his performance style to suit your audience, making it safe and entertaining for children too.
What if it rains for an outdoor event?
For outdoor bookings, we recommend a backup plan like a covered patio or indoor option. The show involves open flames and must be performed under dry, safe conditions.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and secure online payments. A deposit is usually required to confirm your booking.
